Parish Nation Fall 2013 Preview

Last week I had the pleasure to attend the Parish Nation Fall 2013 Preview Party located in the Parish Showroom. This was a really fun event, mostly for bloggers, stylists, and PR to give us a sneak peak of the line and meet the designers behind it. Everyone was super friendly and I got a little background behind the line and their inspiration. Parish Nation really focuses on the small details, which I really admire. It’s the little details that show how committed a brand really is to their product. They are putting something out there not only with great quality but also with a lot of thought behind it. I was really impressed by this line. The textile and prints were amazing and the denim had some really cool washes and details as well.Ā

You can check out more of the brand by going to their website below:

Also, see below for some quick pics. I took while at the event. šŸ™‚ I kept my outfit pretty simple b/c if you are in NYC you know how HOT it is… Thrifted vintage dress w/ a high waisted belt, my Bob Marley hand woven earrings, Jessica Simpson sandals, and a high bun was all I needed for this event! šŸ˜‰

SoHo Event with Aimee Song at Piperlime

Last night I attended an event at the Piperlime SoHo Pop UP store featuring “Song of Style” blogger and fashionista, Aimee Song. (www.songofstyle.com). The event was really fun and unique! I had a great time mingling with PopSugar and other fab ladies at the event. Aimee was super friendly and chatted with everyone.

Also, they had the cutest little treats for us to nibble on while we were shopping/mingling. A churro (fried dough sprinkled with sugar and cinnamin) hanging from an umbrella! Strawberry, rhubarb popsicles and rosemary flavored ice-cream sandwiches were just some of my faves from this Piperlime Event in SoHo. Oh, cannot forget the oyster cart with fresh oysters ready to be served. My blogger friend, MDoll, loved that part! Check her out on http://www.mdollnyc.com

I kept my outfit fun and chic- pairing my favorite American Apparel striped top with my neon pink trousers from H&M. Love the stripe simplicity with a bright, pop color! Accessories I kept simple with simple studs and two yellow bangles. Of course, my neon jelly’s were on my feet, keeping me comfy and pulled the look together!Ā

Fashion Event Night

Last week I went to OUT NYC, a trendy hotel that just opened theirĀ restaurantĀ KTCHN. The event was very fun and a great place for networking. If you were in NYC last week then you know how beautiful (and humid) the weather was! My curly locks had to be put up in a tight bun and that flow-y maxi dress was the perfect fit for this kind of night. This maxi dress is my favorite! I got it last year from BEBE and amĀ absolutelyĀ in love with how comfortable it is. Plus, the print is so colorful and fab that I don’t need much accessories. I paired it with longĀ tasselĀ earrings to match the hint of crochet in the dress and I was set for the night!

My evening with Rachel Zoe, Fashion Stylist/Designer/Editor

On Wednesday night in SoHo, NYC I got to meet one of my favorite style icons ever!! Knowing people in this industry is always major, I received the invite/RSVP from one of my dear friends and was lucky enough to bring a plus one with me šŸ™‚

The event was everything and more! Located in SoHo in the store of PiperLime.. The store was shut down and only the best of the best fashionista’s were there! Mingling, open bar with spiked hot chocolate, baked by Melissa signature cupcakes, and of course the main event-Ā Miss Rachel Zoe. Rachel is the fashion editor for Piperlime now, so a lot of her clothing was in the store. I got to browse and shop the latest collection along with other amazing designer pieces.

Rachel did a styling segment and brought out models with her fave holiday season looks. She gave us all little tips and tricks for dressing up and out! It was “MAJE” But my fave part? Meeting her in person and take a quick pic! I told her she is such an inspirationĀ to me and I was just thrilled to meet her! All in all, the night was perfect and I’m so happy I got the chance to meet one of my style icons!!! RACHEL!!! Go team Zoe! (Did I mention her hubby and entourage were there too? Brad is gorge! in person) šŸ™‚

Fashion Night Out- NYC

September 6th kicked off NYFW with the fab and glamorous event, FNO. This event celebrated its fourth year on Thursday and impressed me even more than last years. This year I decided on the Meatpacking District because the events were just not to be missed. My night started with a casual walk through the Maybelline tents, getting some pics taken by bloggers while sipping on yummy champagne. The streets were crowded and the lines were long with beautiful fashionista’s stylin’ on so many levels! The fashion was absolute craziness, and I loved every outfit!! This is another reason I love this event, you get to showcase your own style and uniqueness. Nothing can beat that, especially in the fashion home of NYC.

I decided on a wide leg coral jumper with gold accessories and a wedge shoe. I already knew DVF’s event was going to be bumpin’ with Solange Knowles on the DJ set so I was readyyyyy! Once getting in Diane Von Furstenberg’s store the music was loud, the drinks were flowing, and the desserts were delish. Super great networking event with photographers, models, and bloggers. I had a blast dancing the night away with my naturalista fashionista’s and can’t wait until next years event!!
