Coachella, see you soon

Last weekend was the first weekend of Coachella in California and the outfits were everything and more! Personally, I’ve never been but next year it’s on my list of summer music festivals. I think my favorite part of Coachella is the style! It’s my favorite combination of boho, chic, fringe, southwestern, and free spirit. Bloggers, actors, models, musicians, and more are always on the scene at Coachella. Check out some of my favorite’s from last weekend… and Coachella 2014 I will so see you soon! Fringe and all ~

My day in Philly Wonderland

Traveling to new sites and seeing new places is one of my passions in life. Whether it’s a new city/country/state/ anything!! A couple of weeks ago I went on a road trip with close friends of mine to Philly- first time ever!! YES! I was so excited, road trips are the best especially with good people and great music 🙂 Unfortunately, we did not have much time to explore (def. going back soon!!) but we did go to the Philadelphia Magic Gardens and I fell in love! Art is a huge passion of mine and this place was just amazing!! It was right on South Street, which is the tourist-y area of Philly but still a lot of fun. If you ever are in this area- go visit!

“Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens (PMG) is a mosaicked visionary art environment, gallery, and community arts center that preserves, interprets, and provides access to Isaiah Zagar’s unique mosaic art environment and his public murals. The Magic Gardens site, Zagar’s largest artwork, includes a fully tiled indoor space and a massive outdoor mosaic sculpture garden that spans half a block on Philadelphia’s famous South Street. Inside, visitors can view folk art statues, bicycle wheels, colorful glass bottles, Zagar’s hand-made tiles, and thousands of glittering mirrors. The installation pays tribute to Zagar’s artistic influences, along with community and personal experiences.”

McQueen goes British

The opening of the Alexander McQueen flagship store in London has me feelin’ like making a trip out there. London Fashion is always bursting with color and uniqueness, it only feels perfect for the opening to be there. The new store concept was conceived by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen.

“We wanted to create a story and a home for McQ and the flagship on Dover Street is an extension of this world. The store will offer special catwalk pieces alongside ready-to-wear collections in a rich and immersive McQ environment.” – Sarah Burton.

Here is a sneak peek at the inside of the store…

Flowers bring me Serenity

Last week I went to The Orchid Show in the Bronx Botanical Garden and simply fell.in.love.and.peace. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to in my life. Orchids are my favorite and being surrounded by so many different kinds as well as colors and shapes, just took me into another world. I was elated by the gorgeous, vibrant colors that surrounded me and felt so at ease. Just observing each room of the orchid exhibition brought me closer and closer to peacefulness. It was an experience I wish you ALL can have and one that I will cherish for a while. I will definitely be going back soon, just need that beautiful sunshine weather to bask in 🙂

Here are some pictures I took from the garden as well as the exhibition.. enjoy 🙂

My outfit: Vintage ankle length skirt, Tan gladiator style wedges, Forever 21 Denim Jacket and black tee underneath. Accessories kept simple with baby blue studs and my favorite H&M necklace 🙂

Retro Summer Flavor

Pin-up bathing suits are everything for this summer! I get inspired from past icons such as Marilyn Monroe  for the pin-up style bathing suits. The retro high-waisted cuts and fun prints or navy style are all coming back for this summer and I am oh so excited to rock mine! The trick for this trend is to find a suit that fits your body like a glove- this way it highlights and accentuates your curves and you will feel and look ultra sexy! The less is more tip comes into play for this one 😉 Tanning may be a bit tricky–but looking fly is always guaranteed 😉 vintage style! Naturalista’s don’t be intimidated, one piece or two piece can work with a variety of body types– and remember confidence is number one!

Here are some vintage pictures I found that I simply adore and inspire me!!

And some of yours truly from a cruise I went on not too long ago where I rocked my Hawaiian Printed Two Piece.
