Fuzzy Wuzzy

If you’re living on the East Coast, you know that winter is still very present. I’ve learned over the years to try and make friends with this horrible cold and dress more appropriately. Luckily, there are some cute trends out this F/W that are inspiring to me. My favorite trend that works with my personal style is the “fuzzy” sweater. Besides the warmth, the fuzzy look gives it a very cozy and angel- like feeling. I’ve seen these sweaters all over the place but the ones below are some of my personal favorites. So, this winter you can stay fashionable and warm. 🙂

Ciara looking lovely in pink 🙂 Personally, I like these types of sweaters in more pastel colors or even just a white. It adds a more innocent look to it.

Winter White Trend

One of my current Fall/Winter trend obsessions is Winter White. There is just something so chic and elegant about wearing white that I just love. I always used to think of wearing all white in the summer time (All-White Parties!) but after seeing so much of this trend on the runway and translated into winter wear, I’m starting to be a believer.

I absolutely love color (especially in the dreary winter months) but for me, white is even more powerful than a bright color sometimes. Pair it with a really dark lip color and gold accessories and you’re all set.

NY Fashion Week Recap 2013!

Hey Naturalista’s! After a whirlwind of NYFW events I finally was able to compile some of my fav. looks and times from the shows I was able to attend with my dear friend and Blogger, Martha Luna (www.mdollnyc.com) Check her blog out!

NYFW was everything I imagined and more! It was a jam-packed day full of shows back to back and many, many familiar faces in the fashion industry. Super great place to network, too. I met a lot of designers, bloggers, videographers, models, and more!! Everyone was just so friendly and super sweet. Really just trying to get their business card out there and get their name out to as many ppl possible.

Besides the free goodies and VIP, my favorite part was def. the actual runway shows. The music and papparazzi really set the vibe to the show. As the models walked out on the runway wearing some of the most beautiful designs for Fall I began to feel what living out a dream really feels like. It was truly everything I had anticipated and more! My favorite show was the Monique Lhullier show, I didn’t get good pics b/c I was so just so intrigued and in the moment. PS. the shows are super short! They last about 8-12 minutes. So can you imagine? Working on a line for about 6 months for a 10 min. presentation with a million ppl watching?? Talk about pressure!

Check out some of pics. to give you a bit of what I felt on Day three of NYFW at Lincoln Center, NYC.

Hello October

Welcome October. Welcome the season change and the bright, fall colors. The new, sleek looks from the hair color change to the booties on our feet. Inspiration is everywhere around us in this month, leading us to everything that fall has to offer. This season I want to do more. New York City is absolutely beautiful with the leaves changing. On my list will be apple/pumpkin picking, Central Park picnics, boating, Brooklyn adventures, lots and lots of fall shopping, and trying anything pumpkin spiced! I’m embracing this new season with a new mindset and am constantly evolving. It’s newness that restores our soul and lifts us up. No matter what has brought you down, this season is here to bring us back up. Keep that in mind and our wings will soar. Happy October and welcome newness, Naturalista’s!

Fashion Night Out- NYC

September 6th kicked off NYFW with the fab and glamorous event, FNO. This event celebrated its fourth year on Thursday and impressed me even more than last years. This year I decided on the Meatpacking District because the events were just not to be missed. My night started with a casual walk through the Maybelline tents, getting some pics taken by bloggers while sipping on yummy champagne. The streets were crowded and the lines were long with beautiful fashionista’s stylin’ on so many levels! The fashion was absolute craziness, and I loved every outfit!! This is another reason I love this event, you get to showcase your own style and uniqueness. Nothing can beat that, especially in the fashion home of NYC.

I decided on a wide leg coral jumper with gold accessories and a wedge shoe. I already knew DVF’s event was going to be bumpin’ with Solange Knowles on the DJ set so I was readyyyyy! Once getting in Diane Von Furstenberg’s store the music was loud, the drinks were flowing, and the desserts were delish. Super great networking event with photographers, models, and bloggers. I had a blast dancing the night away with my naturalista fashionista’s and can’t wait until next years event!!
