The Essentialism of Color

I get inspired by art daily. I live for color and compare life to art. (About me) ūüėČ Visually stimulated by colors, this post is all of that. Sometimes, I find it’s nice to take some time out and just appreciate the beauty of art. After all, just like fashion ¬†it surrounds us, embodies us. ¬†These are some images¬†I happened to stumble upon while online and they made me smile. Enjoy!

“I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way- things I had no words for.”- Georgia O’Keeffe

“Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colors flowers, so does art color life.”- John Lubbock

Leather Glam

One of my¬†current trend obsessions: Leather Sleeves. I am all about leather jackets especially the bombers but there is something subtle and sexy about a hint of leather on the sleeves. Some of the fab celebs are rockin’ this trend and I got inspired myself! Of course, you can go out and buy an ultra glam jacket or think creatively. This year I am rockin’ the fur vest all the way, so why not put it on top of a leather jacket.(see pic. below) ¬†1. You are Leather sleeved glam! 2. Layers upon layers are so winter hot 3. Warmth!

This is my recent leather sleeve look:

Here are some celeb/designer¬†looks that are rockin’¬†the¬†leather glam sleeve look:

Constant Surprises

Lately, this song has been on repeat for me. I’ve only heard a couple songs by Little Dragon, but slowly and surely this Swedish band is capturing my heart. This is one of my faves that I’ve listened too, titled “Constant Surprises.” I love the ease and fluid sound of her voice on this track but even more are the lyrics. Simply put, they make me smile and feel good. A light and airy feel, listen and let go let flow ..

Constant surprises
Coming my way
Some call it coincidence
But I like to call it fate
